Donations to Red Thread Refuge Society directly support the development of safe, supportive, and dignity-centered resources for women, children, and individuals escaping violence, homelessness, trauma, and crisis situations.
Every contribution helps build more than just a project, it helps build stability, safety, healing, and a real path forward for people who have been forced to survive instead of live.
Funds raised will support:
Development of supportive housing initiatives, including the planned 150-unit housing project in Greater Sudbury
Emergency relief and transitional support for survivors fleeing unsafe environments
Community outreach programs and advocacy efforts
Mental health and wellness support resources
Children’s programming and family stabilization services
Basic necessities such as hygiene products, food support, clothing, transportation, and safe spaces
Awareness campaigns, fundraising events, and grassroots community initiatives
Operational and organizational growth needed to sustainably expand services and increase long-term impact
Donations also help build the foundation of RTRS itself; allowing the organization to grow from a grassroots movement into a lasting force for change within the community. This includes creating partnerships, securing resources, building public awareness, developing programs, and establishing infrastructure capable of supporting vulnerable individuals for years to come.
RTRS is rooted in lived experience, compassion, advocacy, and action. Every dollar helps transform survival into empowerment and reminds people facing hardship that they are not invisible, forgotten, or alone.
